Ounce of Hope

We’ve always had a relationship with cannabis products, but our mission didn’t start until a few years ago. The mother of Collin Bercier, our founder and the owner of Ounce of Hope, was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.

Collin’s mom fought both Polio and Multiple Sclerosis in her 65 years of life. She spent her last years in Louisiana, where she had no legal access to cannabis. It was “illegal” at the time, which means even those that could benefit medically, even just to help dull the pain, were restricted from the plant.

That sparked a fire in Collin, and with that fire, a mission to provide high-quality, medicinal alternatives to anyone who could benefit from it.

Bercier put together a team of passionate individuals. Some are on the frontlines, helping out in our dispensaries. Some are raising our beautiful fish and cannabis plants through our impressive aquaponics system. Others are behind the scenes making sure everything runs smoothly. Together, we’re a dedicated team with a clear goal at heart.

We looked at multiple studies on all the potential CBD and other cannabinoids have for MS and other ailments. We saw all the possibilities, and we see them put into action, every day.

Now, we acknowledge that cannabis, as well as any of its compounds, is not a cure for anything. But we do also know that Collin’s mom’s quality of life would’ve massively improved if she’d had access to what we spent years formulating — or even the dang plant itself.

It’s why we chose Memphis as our flagship city. Louisiana’s laws were so prohibited, and Tennessee had its arms wide open to this industry. Since the state (and Memphis itself) was familiar already to Collin, he wasted no time getting back to his roots.

Since our origin, the Memphis community and even many other communities across the nation have been supportive beyond our imagination. We will continue to invest in our community; in our people. We’re so blessed to be a part of Memphis as we grow and expand each day. And we know Collin’s mom would’ve been so incredibly proud of the journey we’ve all been on.

Each of us has dedicated our time to learning everything we can about the products we provide. CBD and Delta-8 THC’s potential continues to astound and amaze us. We sit, in awe, at how many users we help each day.
